Yes, Burn Notice, USA Networks’ most popular (and one of my favorite) series, returns for its sixth season on Thursday, June 14th.
Jeffrey Donovan returns in the Matt Nix series as Michael Westen, the burned CIA spy (and series narrator), looking to get his job back with the help of his friends… his best buddy, ex-Special Forces operative Sam Axe (played by fan favorite Bruce Campbell) and girlfriend, fashion and gun expert Fiona Glenanne (portrayed by Gabrielle Anwar).
Michael is still taking whatever odd jobs he must to get by in Miami, and this season is no exception, as he continues to battle the master manipulator, Anson Fullerton (played by Jere Burns)…the man whose organization that Michael helped to bring down, as well as free Fiona from jail for a crime that she didn’t commit!
Along the way, he’ll be encountering old foes, as well as old friends (including the man who trained him, Card, to be played by John C. McGinley), as well as working with Jesse Porter (a fellow burned agent, played by Coby Bell), and dealing with his chain-smoking mom, Madeline (wonderfully brought to life by Sharon Gless) as she forces her super-spy son to deal with real life.
With five seasons behind them, this crew already knows what to do, bringing their subtle humor, fast car chases, beautiful scenery and big explosions to the small screen.
